About Us

Our Mission Statement:

The LiveLovely Foundation grew out of the deep love and care Charlie Lovely felt for the children and adolescents he met in the oncology unit while he was being treated for leukemia. Charlie started the LiveLovely Foundation with the hope that he could help others through his struggle. LiveLovely's primary mission is to promote awareness of the Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Cancer Survival Gap and to raise funds for hospitals, researchers, and individual families that are affected by the AYA Cancer Survival Gap.

While laying in his hospital bed in the first week of diagnosis Charlie said he wanted to start a foundation to raise money to help children and adolescents with cancer in anyway possible, and that's what he did.  He was the most passionate, fun loving, charming, funniest person you would ever meet and this foundation will help him live on forever through giving.

The LiveLovely Foundation raises money to help other families living with childhood cancer and families that are affected by the AYA Cancer Survival Gap personally and through the funding of research.

The biggest goal we here at LiveLovely have set out to accomplish in the long-term is to build a hospital facility specifically for the cancer patients that fall in the AYA Survival Gap. However, our most current fundraising goal is for a $25,000 cancer research grant specifically for the AYA Survival gap. During the last 25 years, improvement in survival for young children with cancer has been striking. Survival has also increased for older adults; however, 5-year survival rates have fallen for adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer patients. Reasons for this decline termed the "AYA Cancer Survival Gap," remain unknown. Currently, most people remain unaware of this tragic decline, and the people that fall in this gap are being left behind. AYA's don't have a "home" right now, and LiveLovely is fighting to make them one.
