In honor of our founder, Charlie Lovely, Urgent Care Northwest in Jasper, AL, where Charlie was diagnosed, is providing free pre-season physicals for high school athletes. Urgent Care has already provided close to 400 free physicals this year for students at schools in Walker County and the surrounding areas. For location and phone number CLICK HERE.

LiveLovely board members, Dr. Tim Lovely and Dr. Perry Lovely, met Milagritos, a 14 year old girl with ovarian cancer, on a mission trip in Peru. Your donations have helped The LiveLovely Foundation provide Milagritos with $1,000 to help cover the expenses of treatment as well as a care package including a Spanish Bible and a journal. July 17-18, 2010

LiveLovely is proud to announce their partnership with Playing By Air, an innovative show that fuses together music, circus and theatre to raise awareness for cancer. Their next shows are Saturday, July 17th from 7:00 to 8:00 and Sunday, July 18th from 2:00 to 3:00 at the Nashville's Children Theatre. LiveLovely as well as other participating organizations will be available before and after the shows in the lobby with information about their missions and what you can do to help make a difference! LiveLovely Director, Laken Lovely, filmed a short commercial about LiveLovely and Through Charlie's Eyes for Mutual of Omaha's Aha Moment tour. Our story was one of the three featured stories filmed in Lexington, KY in the Aha Moment Tour Blog. CLICK HERE to watch our commercial! LiveLovely made it in the top 100 in the month of june for the Pepsi Refresh Everything contest! This means that LiveLovely's idea for a $25,000 grant for research for AYA specific clinical trials rolls over to the month of July. So, please go vote for us today and EVERYDAY in the month of July. A group of Charlie's friends headed up by LiveLovely junior board member, Julianna Hallman, were on Rick and Bubba on Thursday June, 24 promoting LiveLovely and raising awareness for our cause! LiveLovely particpiated in the Relay for Life in Nashville, TN at LP Field on Friday, June 18th from 6:00PM to 6:00AM. CLICK HERE to join or donate to our team. Although the Relay is over, donations through teams are still being accepted! So far, this Relay has raised over $70,000 for the American Cancer Society! We are officially in the running for a grant from Pepsi in their Refresh Everything online contest!  We need your help to win a $25,000 grant from Pepsi which would allow The LiveLovely Foundation to give The Charlie Lovely Research Grant, which will go towards new clinical trials for AYA's and could significantly reduce AYA cancer related deaths.  Vote Now and EVERYDAY, at refresheverything.com/ayasurvivalgap!

Charlie's sister, Laken, spoke at First United Methodist Church of Hueytown on Sunday, February 21st. Thank you to everyone at the church for being so gracious, and welcoming of the message of The LiveLovely Foundation! Lost & Found was the musical focus of the evening, and blessed our message with beautiful music.

Joseph Beth in Lexington, Kentucky hosted a book signing for Through Charlie's Eyes on Friday, February 12th at 7:00 PM.  Everything went great! if you didn't have a chance to come out, here are some pictures from the event!

Laken Lovely spoke at the career fair in Jasper, Alabama on Wednesday, January 27th. The career fair was attended by fifth and eighth grade students in the area and Laken spoke to them about the positive message of faith and resilience that Charlie hoped to encourage through his story and the LiveLovely Foundation.

Edie Hand and Laken Lovely will be at Waldenbooks for one last book signing. They will have copies of Through Charlie's Eyes and Edie's Ride Series books. Laken and Edie both lost brothers at young ages and both fulfilled promises to their brothers to tell their stories in their books. Come out to the Waldenbooks in the Jasper Mall from 4:00 to 5:30 and support Edie, Laken, and Waldenbooks.

The Charlie Lovely Classic hosted by Heath Burns, head coach of the Dora Bulldogs, will be held at Dora High School. The classic will go on all day and eight of the best high school basketball teams will be competing for the title.  LiveLovely merchandise as well as copies of Through Charlie's Eyes will be available for purchase. All proceeds from ticket sales and merchandise will be donated to LiveLovely.

The Barnes and Noble in Brentwood, TN is hosting a book signing for Through Charlie's Eyes. The signing will take place between 2:00 and 4:00. 

We were excited to see the people who showed up because they were touched by Charlie's story, it warms our hearts to be able to share him with the all of you.

Through Charlie's Eyes is released! Through Charlie's Eyes book launch at Waldenbooks in the Jasper Mall. Come join us to celebrate Charlie's birthday and the release of Through Charlie's Eyes! Laken signed books and the event was finished off by a balloon release.

Unfortunately Charlie Lovely lost his battle with leukemia on January 1st 2009.  Charlie had unwavering strength, and character throughout his diagnosis, and treatment of the disease that took his life too soon.  We have dedicated ourselves to this organization and pledge to Charlie that the foundation he founded will always serve the will of the families dealing with this terrible disease.
